Charles Kusel worked at hauling coal down the river in Pennsylvania, by putting horses on the bank and pulling small barge loads of coal.
Charles and his first wife Doris brought their family to Iowa
in a covered wagon from Mauch Chunk, PA. and settled near Blairstown,
IA. where they lived for one year.
