Winston Wulf
August 11, 1933 - February 20, 1989


Winston was the son of Frank and Lena (Lamp) Wulf.
The Wulf family lived/farmed in Hayes Township.
His brother, Warren Wulf, served in the Army during the Korean War.
Winston is buried in the Westside Cemetery.

Winston Wulf Is Home After Being In Germany a Year

Winston Wulf, who has served with the U.S. Army the past three years, spending the last year in Germany, is now visiting his mother, Mrs. Lena Wulf.

Winston W. Wulf, 55, of Westside died Monday, February 20, 1989, in a hospital in Omaha. He was born August 11, 1933, son of Frank and Lena (Lamp) Wulf.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the United Church of Westside with burial in Westside Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday in Huebner Funeral Home in Denison.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 23, at the United Methodist Church in Westside for Winston William Wulf, 55, who died Monday, February 20, 1989, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

The Rev. Steven Myren officiated at the services, with burial at the Westside Cemetery. Military honors were conducted by Alfred R. Rossman Post 196 of the American Legion.

Mrs. Harvey Freese was organist. Casketbearers were Reynold Gehlsen, Dick Blair, Fenton Lawler, Ben Von Glan, Wayne W. Jans, and Louis Segebart.

Arrangements were made by Huebner Funeral Home in Denison.

Born August 11, 1933, near Westside, Mr. Wulf was a son of Frank and Lena (Lamp) Wulf. He attended school in Westside, graduating from high school there.

On June 23, 1953, he entered the Army, serving until June 6, 1956. After returning home he worked on road construction and in 1963 took a job as a rural mail carrier, working out of Westside, until ill health forced him to retire in 1984.

On June 24, 1962, he married Myrna Whitten of Coon Rapids.

Mr. Wulf was a member of the United Church in Westside and the Alfred R. Rossman Post 196 of the American Legion in Westside.

Mr. Wulf is survived by his wife, Myrna, of Carroll; one son, Christopher Wulf, of Westside; one daughter, Whitney Wulf, of Carroll; one sister, Mary Dixon, of Westside; and three brothers, Warren Wulf of Sioux City; Frank Wulf and his wife, Donna, of San Diego, California; and Charles Wulf and his wife, Shelly, of Beaumont, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
