Robert "Bob" C. Wade

Robert "Bob" C. Wade, 89, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away at home on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Bob was born on July 18, 1925, in Nemaha, Iowa, and was the youngest child of John & Elsie Wade.

He enlisted in the Navy at age 17, proudly served 4 years during WWII and was honorably discharged as a Radioman 2nd Class in 1946.

Upon returning home to Iowa he attended barber school. Bob married Marjorie Hansen in Manning, Iowa, on June 18, 1950.
He opened "Bob's Barber Shop" in Manning in 1949.

He owned & operated Wade Barber Shop in Sac City, Iowa.

In 1969, Bob, Marge, and their three children moved to Mesa, Arizona. There he was a barber, salesman and owner of Red Carpet Beauty Salon.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Elsie Wade, one brother and five sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marjorie, son Danny, son Tim Laurie, daughter Susan Fink Mike, grandchildren: Cody, Briana & Tanner Wade; Alex & Ryan Fink; Marissa, Ryan, Cailey & Megan Murphy, in-Laws: Helen Mading, Lyle Hansen, Lois Hansen, Larry Hansen, and Gloria Hansen and many nieces and nephews.

Bob loved to be surrounded by his family especially his grandchildren whom he was tremendously proud. He was a member of the American Legion for 70 years, was a 32° Mason, a great bowler and wonderful life story teller.

Bob was also known as the "Tootsie Roll Man" as he passed them out to all he met young and old wherever he went. Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother In-Law, Uncle, Friend - he will be extremely missed by all.
