Winnie was a lifelong Arizona resident. She served in the U.S. Navy during WW II in Commutations at San Diego, California. Winnie worked for the Amphi School District in Tucson for over 30 years. She was a member of the Willcox Quilters.
Survivors include her grandsons Mark (Jacque) Cook and Michael (Stephanie) Cook, both of Willcox, a great-granddaughter Kennedy Cook, and her son-in-law Jim Cook both of Willcox. Winnie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Karl, daughters Sandy Cook and Penny Mordhorst, and parents Charles and Amanda (Ferris) Holaway.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2008, at Westlawn Chapel. Private interment of her cremains will be in Sunset Cemetery, Willcox, Arizona.
