THEDE ON DESTROYER
Lloyd Thede, Gunner's Mate, third class, USN, and husband of Mrs. Lloyd Thede of Carroll, Iowa, is serving aboard the destroyer USS Hickox, after helping remove her from "moth balls" at the U.S. Naval Station, San Diego, California.
Thede was recalled into active military service in April 1951. He was employed by the J.W. Hills Motor Company.

LLOYD THEDE HOME
Lloyd Thede, S 2/c, who has just completed his boot training at Farragut, Idaho, arrived Sunday to spend part of a 15-day leave with his mother, Mrs. Laura Thede, and family.
He leaves for Hanford, Washington, next Monday to be with his father, Albert Thede, the remainder of the time. He then reports back at Farragut.
