On August 26, 1942, Tony entered the United States Army at Camp Dodge, Iowa. He served in the South Pacific, the Philippines and New Guinea. Tony attained the rank of corporal before being honorably discharged on January 6, 1946, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Jesus Mary Joseph

Precious Father, he has left us,
left us, yes, forever more;
But we hope to meet our loved one
on that bright and happy shore.
Lonely the house, and sad the hours
since our dear one has gone;
But Oh! A brighter home than ours,
in Heaven is now his own.
0 Immense Passion! 0 Profound Wounds!
0 Profusion of Blood!
0 Sweetness above all Sweetness!
O Most bitter Death grant him
eternal rest. Amen
May his soul and the souls of the faithful
departed, through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen
