Tracy S. Hansen, TSgt, USAF.....
Son of Larry and Leona Hansen, graduated with the Manning High School class of 1980.

Enlisted on 9 July,1980.
Basic training was at Lackland AFB, Texas and technical school for Air Transportation Specialist was at Sheppard AFB, Texas.

Upon graduation from Tech School he was sent to Incirlik AB, Turkey for 12 months from November 1980 - November 1981.

Next tour was at HQ's SAC at Offutt AFB, Nebraska from November 1981 - November 1984.

Married Jessica Dammann (daughter of Richard & Elaine Dammann) on 1 October, 1983.

The next assignment was on the tropical island of Guam assigned at Andersen AFB from November 1984 - November 1986.

First son Lucas was born at the Naval Hospital on 27 August 1986.

From Guam he was sent to HQ's MAC (now know as HQ's AMC) at Scott AFB, Illinois from November 1986 - November 1992.

Second son Marcus was born at Scott AFB on 21 March 1989.

From Scott he was sent to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona in Tucson, from November 1992 - May 1995.

Tracy was sent back to Andersen AFB in Guam for 15 months from May 1995 - Aug 1996.

From Guam his final assignment was at McChord AFB, Washington from August 1996 - August 2000 where he was assigned to the 62nd Aerial Port Squadron until his retirement from active duty in Aug 2000.

His 20 year career was spent entirely in the transportation field and spent many temporary duties to various locations throughout the world such as Mexico, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Crete, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Italy, Albania, plus many locations within the United States

Tracy received the following awards and decorations:
The Meritorious Service Medal, AF Achievement Medal with 1 device, AF Commendation Medal with 2 devices, AF Longevity Service Award with 3 devices, AF Training Ribbon, AF Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with 1 device, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon with device, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award with 3 devices, AF Organizational Excellence Award with 2 devices, and AF Good Conduct Medal with 5 devices.
