Betty Sorensen, Manning, was recently notified that her son, Duane, has been awarded the
Enlisted Surface Warfare pin.
Regarding the honor, Captain D.L. Ihlenfeld, U.S. Navy
Commanding Officer, stated, "You have every reason to be exceedingly proud of Duane's
accomplishment. It reflects his demonstration of excellence, dedication and devotion to
duty."
E4 Sorensen is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, California.
Duane is a graduate of the MHS class of 1986.
