Wayne (husband of Doris Vogl) was inducted into the U.S. Navy December 28, 1968. His boot camp training was at Navy RTO San Diego, California. He served at CYNA School Norfolk, Virginia, U.S. NAVCOM Station Honolulu, U.S. NAVCOM Station Guam, Mariana Islands, and Leadership School San Diego, California. He worked as an Offline Cryptologist for two years and the rest of his time as a legal Yeoman for J.A.G. Wayne received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense and Meritorious Unit Citation and was discharged September 28, 1972.
