Dale Schlichte

Dale entered the Air Force on January 6, 1964, and received his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He attended Aerospace Ground Equipment School at Chanute AFB, in Rantoul, Illinois. He graduated A-2C and was assigned to Offutt AFB, in Omaha, Nebraska, with the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing.

In November 1965 he was stationed at Andersen AFB in Guam with the 454th Task Force for five months, and returned to Offutt until September 1966.
He was assigned to McCoy AFB in Orlando, Florida, for 2 weeks, and then left for a 7-month tour of duty at Kadena AFB, in Okinawa. While stationed at Kadena he spent three weeks on assignment at Utapao, Thailand.

In April 1967, he returned to McCoy AFB, where he was discharged as Sergeant on January 5, 1968.
Dale is a member of the Manning V.F.W. Post.
