County Boys Safe In Iran
Six Carroll County boys who have been together since they left for the army last November have arrived safely overseas and are somewhere in Iran.
They are Cpl. Lewis Schmitz, Arcadia; Cpl. Edward Sturm, Maple River; Pfc. Harold Ruhde, Manning; Pfc. Otto J. Bluml, Halbur; Pfc. Alfred Hart, Coon Rapids, and Sgt. Vernon Knute, Glidden.

The boys say that, "all of us had I known each other before going into the army, so we consider ourselves very lucky to be together."
All are in good health and all hope to return to Carroll county some day and meet all their friends.

THE TWENTY-THIRD PSALM

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still water. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me: Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anoitest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
