Will Join Cruise
Robert Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hansen, will leave Manning July 10 for Norfolk, Virginia, where he will embark July 12 on a Naval cruise with other ROTC cadets from Iowa State College.

Serving on the Battleship USS Iowa on a summer midshipman training cruise is Robert W. Hansen, midshipman third class, the Navy reports. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hansen of Manning, he is a student at Iowa State College.

SERVES ON BATTLESHIP
Midshipman Robert W. Hansen son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hansen of Manning, climbs onto the main deck of the battleship Iowa through a forward hatch. Hansen, an Iowa State College student, is serving on the ship as part of a training program for midshipmen which will end September 3, according to the Navy.

Robert W. Hansen To Wed Missourian
Dr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Steger of Webster Groves, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Jane, and Robert W. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hansen.
The bride-elect was graduated from Webster Groves High School and will receive her B.S. degree in June from Iowa State College at Ames.
She is affiliated with Pi Beta Phi, social sorority, Mortor Board, and Phi Upsilon Omicron, Home Economics Education Club.
Mr. Hansen, a ROTC student at Iowa State College, is a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, Tau Beta Pi, Knights of St. Patrick, and Gamma Epsilon Sigma, engineering honorary societies. He is also member of Scabbard and Blade, national military honorary organization. He also will receive a degree in general engineering in June.
The two will be married following graduation in June.

Ensign Hansen, Classmate, Wednesday
Miss Carolyn Jane Steger of Webster Groves, Missouri, and Ens. Robert William Hansen of Manning, were married Friday evening in Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. Both were graduated June 9 from Iowa State College.
The bride is the only daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Steger of Webster Groves. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Harry T Scherer in a setting of fern. pink and white majestic daisies and white delphinium.
Ens. Hansen is the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hansen of Manning. His brother, Jack Hansen of Manning, was an usher, with Larry Herbold of Colfax, Craig Shirley of Waterloo and Jerry Leader of Richmond Heights, Missouri.
Phillip Zink of Plano, Illinois, was best man.
Five Attendants
The bride was attended by Miss Katherine Jensen as maid of honor, Miss Jane Montgomery, Miss Jacqueline Jasper, Miss Jane Williams and Mrs. Richard Ehlers.
Swiss embroidered organdy fashioned the bride's gown. A small cap ornamented with organdy leaf design held her fingertip veil. She carried a cascade of stephanotis and white orchids.
The maid of honor wore frosty blue embroidered organdy dress with sabrina neckline. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink larkspur and majestic daisies.
Bridesmaids were similarly gowned in petal pink and their flowers were pink daisies and blue delphinium.
Ens. Hansen has received assignment to Memphis, Tennessee. for primary flight training until September. Then the couple will live at Pensacola, Florida.
