SGT. ROSS MUHLBAUER

Sgt. Ross Muhlbauer joined the Iowa Army National Guard in 1999 as a member of C Company 2/135 in Boone Iowa.
He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonardwood, MO. and his Advanced Training at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX.
In October 2001, Ross volunteered for active duty with his sister unit - D Company 109, also based in Boone.
He is currently serving state-side.

Ross is the son of Anne & Neil Muhlbauer of Manning.
He is a 2000 graduate of Manning High School.

2005 information
Ross, son of Neil and Anne Muhlbauer, entered the Army National Guard on May 14, 1999, as a member of Company C\2\135th Aviation in Boone, Iowa. He received his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, in 1999 and graduated from A.I.T at Shepherd Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas, in 2000. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, Ross volunteered for active duty with his sister unit-D\109th, serving from October 2001 until November 2002 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. During this time, he spent four months at Khandahar, Afghanistan, with the 160th SOAR. In February 2003, Ross was called back to active duty for another year. He was stationed at Camp Atterbury, Indiana; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Hunter Air Field, Georgia. Ross was promoted to Sergeant on October 26, 2001, and at the time of this writing is still in the National Guard.
