Sgt. Ronald J. Odendahl entered the U.S.A.F April of 1965 and was honorably discharged
October of 1968. He served at R.A.F. Lakenheath, England for 3 years.
He married Edna Fahn, from Harlan, IA., and they had 4 children; Michelle, Mrs. Dan
Vollstedt; Stacie, Mrs. Rourke Mullen; Paul and Steven.
All 4 children graduated from Manning High School.
Designed to test the rapid mobility of forces throughout Allied Command Europe, the
exercise involved land and air components.
Sergeant Odendahl is assigned as a jet engine mechanic at Lakeheath RAF Station,
England, with the 494th Tactical Fighter Squdron.
The sergeant is a 1962 graduate of Manning High School.
His wife, Edna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Fahn of 205 Victoria St., Harlan, IA.
