Memorial services for David H. Moody were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2002 it the Northwest Baptist Church, Bellingham, Washington. The Jerns Funeral Chapel and On-Site Crematorium of Bellingham, Washington was in charge of arrangements.

David H. Moody, age 59 of Bellingham, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2002 in Bellingham. He was born June 9, 1943 in Audubon, Iowa, to David and Irene Moody (he grew up about 9 miles SE of Manning near Bunker Hill Country School) and has been a Whatcom County resident for 30 years. He married Joyce Gustafson on October 27, 1975 it Bellingham, Washington. Mr. Moody was a graduate of Drake University and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1971. He was awarded the Bronze Star in Viet Nam and was discharged al the rank of Captain. He worked for Ersbig's Sheetmetal for 20 years as a purchasing agent. Currently he was employed at Seven Sisters Electrical in Sedro Woolley. Mr. Moody was an active member and board member of the Northwest Baptist Church and served as a board member on the Lighthouse Mission. David had a compassion for people who were down and out and was an encourager. He was a humble man with a big heart and a peacemaker with a sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Moody; their children, Kathy Lynch of New York and Steven Bonner of Bellingham; two grandchildren, Keeley and Taylor; aunt Ruth Workman; cousins John Campbell of Denison, Iowa, Roger Kvamme of Ketchum, Idaho and Kevan "Butch" Kvamme of Everson. Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Mission or the Northwest Baptist Church, 3545 Northwest Ave., Bellingham, Washington.
