William Mohns passed away at his home near Westside on August 5, 1963, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Ohde Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on August 7, with the Rev. Dr. Fred E. Hamlin officiating.
Interment was at the Manning Cemetery. Military honors were conducted by American Legion Post #22 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3517.
Bonita Hagedorn was organist, with Raymond Pratt as soloist.
Masonic burial rites were conducted by Clifford Mason of Setting Sun Lodge #349 of Westside.

William Karl Mohns 67, died unexpectedly at his home north of Manning Monday morning, August 5, 1963.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohde Funeral Home here, with Dr. Fred Hamlin of Denison officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with both Masonic and military rites. Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn will be organist at the funeral home, and Ray Pratt, vocal soloist.

Mr. Mohns was born June 23, 1896, in Ewoldt Township, Carroll County. He attended rural schools and as a young man moved with his parents, Charlie and Minnie (Danzglock) Mohns, to a farm in Iowa Township. Later they moved to farms north and northwest of Manning. Since the death of his parents, Mr. Mohns has made his home with his brother, Herman, north of Manning. He was a Veteran of World War I; and was a member of Manuel Lodge No. 450, Manning, and Azgad Commandery No. 63, Carroll.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mohns; a niece, Mrs. Franklin Mohr, Manning; and a nephew, Charles Mohns.

Funeral rites for William Mohns, 67, Manning farmer, were held on Wednesday, at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Masonic and military rites were held at the Manning Cemetery.
Mohns died suddenly at his home Monday. He had lived in this area all his life.
He is survived by a brother, Herman, of Manning, a niece and nephew.

As a young boy, he moved to Iowa Township, and lived on farms north and northwest of Manning. He lived with his parents until their deaths, then with his brother, Herman Mohns and family. He was a Veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his brother, Herman, and his wife; a niece, Mrs. Franklin (Arlene) Mohr, and a nephew, Charles Mohns.
He was a member of Manual Lodge No. 450, A.F. & A.M., Manning, and Azgad Commandery, No. 63, Carroll.

William Mohns died very suddenly Monday forenoon at the age of 67. Relatives from a distance attending the funeral services in Manning Wednesday afternoon were Minnie Syring and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daude of Tipton, William Duggen, Sr., Bill Duggen, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ruesch of Westbrook, Minnesota, Herman Mohns of Round Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. John Mohns, and Joretta of Worthington, Minnesota. The deceased made his home with his brother, the Herman Mohns family of this vicinity.
