Milo Sander


Milo Sander, son of Mrs. Irma Sander, was promoted to Damage Controlman, Second Class last week when he returned aboard the U.S.S. Destroyer Braine, now in the Boston Navy Yard. He had been home or a leave.

FORMER MANNING RESIDENT ON NAVY DUTY Milo Sander, son of Mrs. Irma Sander of Audubon, formerly of Manning, has been assigned permanent duty at San Diego, California. He is a Fireman, working in the boiler room of a Navy power plant. Sander entered the Navy a year ago.

New Dentist at Medical Clinic
Dr. Milo M. Sander, DDS has replaced Dr. David L. Dean at the Gretna Medical Dental Center. He was graduated from the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry. Dr. Sander had four years of Navy experience and comes from Manning, Iowa. He will be associated with Dr. Aarvig.

DR. MILO SANDER
Funeral services for Dr. Milo Sander, 31, former Manning resident, were held December 2 at the Roder Mortuary in Omaha, with Masonic graveside rites. Burial was in Omaha.

Dr. Sander was born January 16, 1932, in Manning and graduated from Manning High School in 1950. After serving in the Navy, he graduated from the University of Nebraska Dental College at Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1962. He established a practice in Omaha. On November 29, 1963, he suffered a heart attack at his office and was taken to Clarkson Hospital, where he died a few hours later.

He is survived by his wife, a small son and daughter; his mother, Mrs. Irma (Snyder) Sander, Audubon; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Kauffmann, Audubon; and Barbara Sander, Omaha.

His father, Marvin Sander, died in 1950.

Relatives from Manning attending the rites were Mrs. Fred Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jensen; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Galen Ferry; also Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rasmussen of Manilla.
