JOHN JOSEPH CROGHAN
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 10, 1985, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church here for John Joseph Croghan, 35, of Manning.

Monsignor Dean Walker will conduct the services. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manning.

Mr. Croghan died Monday, August 5, of injuries received in a bicycle-truck accident near Cherokee.

Rosaries will be recited Friday, August 9, at 4, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning.

Mr. Croghan is survived by his wife, Mary, of Manning; children, Kelly, Brian, Shawn, Jason, and Jennifer; parents, Joseph and Margaret Croghan of Manilla; mother-in-law, Margaret Wieland of Carroll; his brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Virginia Croghan, of Carroll, Jerry and Nancy Croghan of Manilla, Gene Croghan of Omaha, Neb., David Croghan of Austin, Texas, Charlie Croghan of Manning, and Jim Croghan of Manilla; sisters, Mrs. Marc (Patricia) Arp of Manning, and Mrs. Terry (JoAnne) Halbur of Chandler, Arizona.

Mr. Croghan, the son of Joseph and Margaret Schmitz Croghan, was born April 21, 1950, in Harlan. He graduated from Manning High School in 1969, and attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.

He married Mary Wieland on April 24, 1970, in Denison. They lived for a short time in Denison before they moved to the Manning area.

He worked for Farmland Foods in Denison for 13 years and worked for Wilson Foods in Cherokee for a short time.

He served in the National Guard and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Manning.
