Felix E. Vogl, Jr.

December 15, 1950 - January 11, 1976

Felix was inducted into the Army on May 1, 1970. He took his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and served in Fort Lewis, Washington, and Berlin, Germany. SPC-4 Vogl received the Good Conduct Medal and was discharged May 1, 1972.


FELIX VOGL, JR.

Felix Edward Vogl, Jr., 25, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, January 11, 1976.

According to Carroll Deputy Sheriff Roger O'Tool, Vogl's body was found at his home by Dr. John Hornberger of Manning, deputy Carroll County medical examiner. A report on the cause of death was not available Monday morning.

Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church here. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with military honors by the Manning V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 1 p.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 3 and 7:30 p.m. and there will be a Bible service at 8:30 p.m., all on Tuesday.

Mr. Vogl had been employed for the last several years as a mechanic at Smouse General Service in Coon Rapids.

He was born near Manning December 15, 1950, a son of Felix and Hilda (Kasparbauer) Vogl. He graduated from Manning High School in 1969, and worked at Wiese and Sons until entering the Army. While in the Army he served in Germany.

Survivors include his parents, of Manning and the following brothers and sisters; Ron, David, Patrick, and William, all of Manning, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Malone of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Jerome (Judy) Muhlbauer of Halbur, Mrs. Wayne (Doris) Sell of Silver City, and Margie of Council Bluffs; also his grandmother, Mrs. Katherine Kasperbauer of Manning.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul; his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
