Manning Monitor article------ 1943

Pvt. Elmer Meyers Transferred
Private Elmer Meyers has been transferred to Springfield, Mo. He enjoys getting the Monitor which enables him to keep tab on some of the other boys in service and also on events here at home.
He concludes by saying, "Keep that Manning basketball team rolling to the state!" We are glad to have been able to keep Pvt. Meyers posted on the progress of the home basketball team through the Monitor.

Note: A card received by Mr. John Steinhauer yesterday from Pvt. Meyers, states that he is now in the hospital having submitted to an operation for appendicitis. He is getting along nicely.
Friends who wish to write may get his address from Mr. Steinhauer.
