ENLISTS IN A.F.

Douglas E. Rohe, 17, son of Mrs. Mildred Rohe, Route 2, Manning, has enlisted in the Air Force Delayed Enlistment Program and is slated to begin four years of active duty with the United States Air Force in August. At that time, he will attend six weeks of basic training at Lackland Military Training Center, San Antonio, Tex. Following basic he will receive training in the mechanical career field. Rohe attends Manning Community High School.

Air Force Master Sgt. Douglas E. Rohe has been decorated with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey.
The medal is awarded to individuals for non-combat meritorious achievement or service that is consistently exceptional and of a magnitude that clearly places them above their peers.
Rohe is a special mission support section supervisor with the 438th Organizational Maintenance Squadron.
He is the son of Mildred J. Rohe of Manning. His wife, Suzanne, is the daughter of Ronald Colling of Manning and Carolyn K. Wilson of Green Cove Springs, Florida.
He is a 1976 graduate of Manning High School.

Master Sgt. Douglas E. Rohe, son of Mildred Rohe and the late Glenn Rohe of Manning, is an aircraft maintenance technician in the Air Force.
Rohe, a 1976 graduate of Manning High School, has been in the service for 14 years. He was deployed in Operation Desert Shield in early August.
He is married to Sue Coiling of Manning. Sue and the couple's three children, Jeremy, Elizabeth and Jayson, are residing at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.
