Pvt. Dammann received training in receiving instruction, practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history and traditions.

Pvt. Dammann is the daughter of Richard and Elaine Dammann of Manning, Iowa. She is currently a senior at Manning Community High School and will continue with her Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Jackson in the summer of 2002. Pvt. Dammann is with the 185th Corps Support Battalion at Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa.
