Mr. Callanan, who was a Des Moines resident 27 years before moving to Illinois five years ago, died of cancer Thursday, October 19, 1967, in Downers Grove.

Born in Des Moines, on January 17, 1932, he was a graduate of North High School and Drake University. He was an account executive for an advertising agency.

Surviving are his wife Charlotte; two sons, Kevin and John; a daughter, Susan Beth; his mother, Mrs. Eva Parsons of Des Moines, and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sherley of Des Moines.

Prayer services for Jerome V. Callanan, 35, of Downers Grove, Illinois, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Manning Cemetery. Mr. Callanan, whose wife is the former Charlotte Paulsen of Manning, died Thursday, October 19, 1967, after a long illness.

The body will arrive late Tuesday morning at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Funeral services were held Monday at Downers Grove.

Survivors besides his wife include three children.
