Charles D. Moore enlisted in the U.S. Army in July of 1971. He took basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and advanced training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
He served with the rank of Sergeant in the Pershing Missile system that comprised the 56th Brigade, 7th Army, in Europe. After a tour of two years in Germany he was rotated to Fort Sill and was honorably discharged with three years of service in July 1974.
Chuck returned to Manning where he has since resided.
