Chuck was inducted into the Air Force in October of 1969, taking basic training at Lackland A.F.B, Texas. He took a Flight Simulator Maintenance course at
Rantoul A.F.B., Illinois, and served as Flight Simulator Instructor and Maintenance at Williams A.F.B., Phoenix, Arizona.
Sergeant Ehlers was discharged February 1974.
