Arthur J. "Art" Kruse
Arthur J. "Art" Kruse, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at his home in De Forest, Wisconsin.

He was born on August 8, 1932, the son of Carl and Amanda (Jentzen) Kruse.

Art honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He helped with the Veteran's Memorial Park in De Forest. He was a Legion member, Post 348, and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Art collected John Deere tractors and enjoyed playing cards. Art began Art's Electric and Heating, Inc. and serviced the community for more than 40 years.

Above all, Art loved his family and that was the most important thing to him.

Art is survived by his wife, Shirley; children: Judy (Chuck) Mundt, Jeanne (Ron) Kalscheuer, Janet (Dale) Meixner, and John (Theresa) Kruse; grandchildren, Mike, Matt (Jen), Tonia (Jeff), Mandy (Roger), Jennifer, Paul, Sherri, Krystal, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Kenney Matthew II, Victoria, Luke, Kross, Trynity, Billy, and Eli; sister, Darlene Anderson; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Josh; and brother, Willis.

A funeral service will be held at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 220 S. Main St., De Forest on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Pastors Jerry A. Olson and Erica Adams officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Norway Grove Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Forest TODAY from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., and then again at church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, De Forest.
