Donna Venteicher

Donna Rae, daughter of George and Lois (Weems) Wegner, was born December 29, 1946, in Manning, Iowa. She grew up on the Wegner century farm south of Aspinwall, attending Iowa No. 8 country school, and graduated from Manning High School in 1965. After graduation, she worked at the Denison Hospital as a bookkeeper.

Donna thrived being a farm wife and stay-at-home mother. She had a special talent for sewing and embroidery, making many personalized baby blankets for friends and family. She also had a knack for gardening, was a talented artist, and loved playing games of all kinds with her children.

During retirement, Donna and Jim spent winters in Black Canyon City, Arizona. While there, they made many new friends with whom they enjoyed sightseeing and riding side by sides. Donna also became a member of a sewing circle that made blankets for school kids.
