Marriage Vows Spoken in England
August 6, 1992 Manning Monitor
Mr. and Mrs. R. Craig Nicholson
In a ceremony of celebration and praise Annette Kinsey became the bride of R. Craig Nicholson at the Banbury Baptist Church Centre at Banbury England at two o'clock on Saturday, July 18, 1992.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kinsey of Banbury. The groom is the son of Howard Nicholson of Carlisle, England, and the late Mrs. Nicholson.

Annette was the 1981- 82 AFS daughter of Dr. and Mrs. P.L. Myer of Manning, Iowa.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father to an instrumental arrangement of Psalm 21. Music accompaniment was provided by the Charles and Elaine Ashley Quintet consisting of two guitars, an electronic keyboard, flute and drums.

The chancel was decorated with bouquets of white daisies, pink carnations and rhubum lilies placed on tall flower stands.

The brides gown of white satin featured a sweetheart neckline, long mutton sleeves with wrist points, a chapel train and bustle bow. Beaded lace trimmed the bodice, sleeves and hemline. Her finger tip veil was caught into a caplet of silk flowers. She carried a cascade bouquet of sonia roses, rosita alstroemeria, pink mini carnations, baby's breath, leather leaf fern and bear grass.

The bridesmaids, Linda and Helen Kinsey, sisters of the bride, wore tea length gowns of cerise moire taffeta with Basque bodices, short puff sleeves, full skirts and bustle bows. Each wore a fresh floral garland in their hair and carried colonial bouquets of white and cerise daisies.

The groom was attired in a double-breasted taupe business suit wearing a sonic rose boutonniere. Best man was Michael Armstrong.

Ushers were Simon Walsten croft, Steven Rhodes and Brian Mac Readie.

Pastor Brian Butcher was joined by the groom in welcoming the guests coming from far distances of Japan, Norway, Nigeria, France, and the United States.

After the bridal procession the congregation sang He Is Exalted and Our Confidence Is In The Lord--

Pastor Butcher officiated at the marriage ceremony. Following the marriage, musical selections I will Enter Your Gates, O Most High, and Jesus We Celebrate Your Victory were sung.

Pastor Roderic Homberger, of Kings Centre Aldershot gave the wedding address. After prayers and blessings for the couple and singing of the Register, the bridal party recessed to the instrumental arrangement of Psalm 134.

A reception, dinner and dance followed at Whately hall Hotel. Following a two-week honeymoon to the Dominican Republic Islands the couple will make their new home in Aldershot, Hampshire, England.
