Nancy Rose (Hacker) Grimm, daughter of Delmus E. and Rose Lorraine (Sporrer) Hacker was born March 17, 1957, in Carroll, Iowa. Nancy grew up a half mile southwest of Gray. She attended school in Gray through the 6th grade, then in Audubon, graduating in 1975.

Nancy was united in marriage with Curt Grimm on January 9, 1976, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. They made their first home in Gray. Later they purchased an acreage one and a half miles north of Gray. They lived there for several years until building their home in Aspinwall. Nancy worked various jobs as a great cook. Through the years she worked at the Wagon Wheel in Gray, Red Carpet in Carroll, and the Corner Station in Templeton. In 1991, Nancy and Curt purchased Myra's Place in Aspinwall, where they ran "Home on the Range" for five years. Nancy then worked as a dietary cook at Manning Regional Healthcare Center until she retired in 2021, due to health reasons.

Nancy had a tender heart, a bubbly personality and always had a smile. She was a hard worker and always ready for a chat. Throughout the years, she enjoyed going to the casinos, playing cards, especially Dirty Board, going to bingo with her siblings and in laws, watching TV, and going camping. Nancy was an excellent baker and enjoyed giving her baked goods to her family and friends. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed supporting them by watching them play sports. Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.

On Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023, Nancy passed away, surrounded by her family, at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning, Iowa. She was 65 years, 9 months, and 17 days of age.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Dennis Hacker in 1998; sister Rhonda Anthofer in 2012; and a sister in infancy Mary Rose Hacker; Curt's parents Ray and Ila Grimm; a niece Natalie Mason; and a brother-in-law Dean (Peggy) Grimm.
