"Darrell was presenting the award to Mike on behalf of the student body - Mike was being recognized for his being a representative to the Senate-Youth Program in Washington DC.
It was a very elite program - I don't remember the specific details but Mike was maybe 1 of 2 that represented the State of Iowa.
The numbers could be wrong but it was a big event for the school & for Manning...and I don't believe that Manning had ever had anyone who attended previous to that nor, to my knowledge, since then!"
