Orland - son of William and Elna (Groteluschen) Joens
Jim Hale was a fellow Boy Stater in the summer of 1956. He was from Mason City, I believe.
We roomed together and were best of friends during the week of Boys State.
He sent me the telegram wishing the Manning team good luck just before the first game in the State Tournament.
Interestingly enough, the last time I saw him was at Ila Rix's funeral. He married Rae Lynn Wycoff shortly before that.
