Below is another example of tillage effects on No-Till. May 20, 2001 during an inch rain on a 10+ year no-till field.
The area on the right where the water is standing was tilled the fall of 1999 after
waterway work. The field was No-tilled 2000 and 2001 and even after 2 years of No-till the
poor soil water infiltration is still showing the signs of tillage.
It only stands to reason that if rain water won't soak in on flat tilled bottom soil that it will run off tilled sidehills.
