This image shows the bottom of the waterway on our no-tilled farm by the road. We dug out this part of the waterway the fall of 2000 with our dirt scraper. This waterway has been cleaned out twice now in 10 years. |
Then as the water continues on down stream it swamps the farm below before entering a small creek.

Even though we drilled beans on last year's bean stubble we had no run-off on our No-Till farm during the June 1 & 2, 2001 rain events discussed above. |

While there was major run-off from the tilled field which filled in the waterways mentioned above --- NO water ran into this waterway in our no-till field that does not take on water from the neighboring tilled farms. |
