Zella Mae passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2000, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
The daughter of George and Merle (Clevenger) Waddle, Zella Mae was born June 21, 1927. She was a 1945 graduate of the Monroe High School. She was united in marriage to Lorin Lee Rickabaugh January 18, 1947, at Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death May 29, 1950.
Zella Mae later married Warren Wegner, who preceded her in death in 1990.
Zella Mae had been employed as a nursing assistant at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Also preceding her were her parents; two brothers, Doyle and Dwight; and a great-grandson, Jordan Evans.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Lorin D. and Donna Rickabaugh of Newton; two grandchildren and their families, Bridget and husband Jay Evans, and their children, Jerrod, Tyler, and Meredith and Brent and wife Laura Rickabaugh and their children, Alec and Frankie; and a step grandson, Clint Evans. Also surviving are two sisters, Wanda Walker of Monroe and Velda Munson off Bloomington, Illinois; and a brother, Dean Waddle of Kellogg.
A memorial for the Jasper County Cancer Society has been suggested by her family.
