Funeral services for Wilma M. Ullerich were held Saturday, May 15, 999 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, Iowa. Pastor Daniel Vogel and Pastor Curt Dwyer officiated the service with Carlys Stribe as organist.

Interment was held at Manning Cemetery in Manning, Iowa with John Deist, Lyle David, Walt Lage, Duane Boersma, Barry Kusel and Lance Lage as casket bearers.
Honorary casket bearers were Glen Jensen, Brad Kusel, and Dave Kusel.

Wilma Marjorie, daughter of John C. and Emma Christina Wenzel Schade, was born August 20, 1913, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church near Audubon. Wilma attended country school in Lincoln Township.

After her schooling, she moved to Chicago and worked at various hotels there. On December 22, 1942, she was united in marriage with Francis Walter Kurz in Chicago. They moved to Provo, Utah and then San Francisco, California. Francis passed away in the late 60s. Wilma retired and moved back to Iowa in the mid 70s. She lived in Audubon and Carroll be-fore being united in marriage with Herbert Ullerich on October 22, 1977, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Carroll. Wilma and Herb resided in Manning.

Wilma and Herb enjoyed traveling, as they went to Hawaii four times. Wilma also enjoyed music, singing and visiting with family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.

Due to failing health, Wilma entered the Friendship Home in Audubon in 1997, and then in 1998, she entered the Manning Plaza nursing home in Manning and died there on Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 23 days.

Besides her first husband Francis, Wilma is preceded in death by two sisters: Leona and her husband, Fred Stark; and Beata David; two brothers: John Schade and Raymond Schade and his wife, Phyllis; two brothers-in-law: Fred Rudnick and Henry Reuwsaat.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Herbert Ullerich, of Manning; two sisters: Laura Rudnick and Viola Reuwsaat, both of Audubon; a brother Merle Schade and his wife, Donna of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother-in-law Clarence David of Audubon, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
