William Wilson
Death of W.H. Wilson.
Word was received here last Thursday morning that W.H. Wilson, brother of our townsman,
T.S. Wilson, had died very unexpectedly at his home near Coon Rapids with typhoid
pneumonia, after an illness of but one week. Mr. Wilson had never been a rugged man and a
severe cold, causing pneumonia, was more than he could withstand.
William Henry Wilson was born in Millsboro, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, July 22, 1864, and died January 22, 1908. He moved with his parents to Muscatine County, Iowa, in 1876, later coming to Carroll County, where he has since resided. He was united in marriage to Martha W. Yeager, of Carroll, September 9, 1896. To this union was born one daughter, Beatrice A., the wife and daughter, also his mother, Mrs. M.E. Wilson, of Gray, his brother, T.S. Wilson, of Manning, and sister, Mrs. Audubon Shelly, of Ross, are left to mourn his untimely death.
The funeral services were held by the M.E. minister, of Coon Rapids, after which the remains were taken to the Carroll cemetery and laid to rest beside his father. Rev. Taylor, of the M.E. Church at Carroll, conducted the services at the cemetery.
