William Stoelk Of Manning Dies During the Night
Funeral Services Will Be Held at 2 P.M. Wednesday
William Edward Stoelk, 52, died at the home of his parents, Henry and Dora (Stuhr) Stoelk, during the night, February 10, 1941, victim of a rare nerve disease which caused paralysis. He had been ill for about nine months, spending five of them at the Iowa City Hospital. He was brought to his parents' home, here about four weeks ago.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ohde Funeral Home with Pastor John M. Ansorge of the Lutheran Church, officiating. Pallbearers will be six cousins.

Mr. Stoelk was born July 17, 1888, in Clinton County, Iowa, but for the past 20 years he has lived in and near Manning. He was a salesman by occupation.

Survivors include, in addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stoelk, and a son, Clive, of Basin, Wyoming; and a grandson, Craig. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank, Harry, and Albert, and Mrs. Ella Reimers of Manning; Charles of Waltham, Minnesota; and Lawren of Wall Lake, Iowa.

Mr. Stoelk was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

His first wife was Nellie Irwin, married in 1912, and his second wife was Emma Bohnsack, married in 1926.
