Died, June 6, 1883, at his residence near Templeton, Town, William Spear, aged 58 years. Mr. Spear was born in Pennsylvania and has lived in Iowa during the last 33 years: He was married in 1850 to Elizabeth Leighty, with whom be has since lived and who now survives him. While a soldier in the war of the rebellion Mr. Spear received a sunstroke, from the effects of which he has since been a great sufferer. He was united with the Church of God at the age of 20 and has been during his life a zealous and consistent Christian, commanding the respect and friendship of all who knew him.
