William Francis Sluder, son of Willie and Bertha Mae (Williams) Sluder, was born on December, 25, 1943 , in Manning, Iowa, and departed this life on November 2, 2017, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 73 years, 10 months, and 8 days of age.

Francis was born in Manning, Iowa. He was raised in and around Manning until he was 14 years old and then he moved with his family to Mountain Grove, Missouri. On February 9, 1987 he was united in marriage to Martha Trindle at Hartville, Missouri. They made their home in Mountain Grove. Francis worked at the Stave Mill in Dunn for twenty years. He also worked on area farms throughout his life. He loved to be outside and enjoyed fishing. When he was in school he enjoyed running track.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertha Mae Sluder.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Sluder of Mountain Grove, several cousins and a host of family and friends that will dearly miss him.
