Funeral services for William Edward Sibbel, Manning farmer, were held at 11:00
a.m. on Monday morning, October 21 at First Presbyterian Church in Manning,
with Rev. Robert Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery, with
Henry Sonksen, Ronald Frahm, Ray Vetter, William Opperman, Dean Stribe, and Lowell Stribe as casket-bearers.
Masonic services were held at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, October 21, at the Ohde Funeral Home, conducted by Manual Lodge, No. 450, AF & AM.
Son of William A. and Elsie (Hansen) Sibbel, he was born March 6, 1928, in Carroll County, and graduated from Manning High School in 1947. He attended Parsons College for three years before his marriage December 30, 1950, to Patricia A. Lightfoot. Since their marriage they farmed a mile east and five miles north of Manning.
Mr. Sibbel had been in ill health for a number of years. He passed away on Friday morning, October 18, 1968, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Connie, Dianna, and Peggy, all at home; his father, William Sibbel, of Manning.
He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant brother, Kenneth.

Funeral services for William Edward Sibbel, 40, son of
William A., Sr. and Elsie Clare (Hansen) Sibbel, will be conducted at 11 a.m.
Monday at the Manning Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Rushing, pastor,
in charge. Burial will take place in the Manning Cemetery.
Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at Ohde Funeral Home. Mr. Sibbel died Friday morning, October 18, 1968, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll following a long illness with diabetes. Survivors include his wife and three daughters at home, and his father, William Sibbel of Manning.
