Funeral Services For William Segebart
Final Rites Held At the St. John's Church Monday Afternoon>

Funeral services for William Segebart were held Monday afternoon at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Westside. The Pastor, the Rev. E.G. Otte conducted a short prayer service at the home at 1:30 and the services at the church at two o'clock.
Music was furnished by the church Choir, who sang "Have Thine Own Way Lord," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye."
The flowers were arranged and cared for by Mrs. Otto Massman and Mrs. Otto Schroeder.
Pall bearers were Louie Rickers; Hugo Dettbarn, Frank Massman, Chris Brotherson, William Kock, and Emil Dettbarn.

William Ferdenand Segebart, son of John and Sophia (nee Sass) Segebart, was born in Carroll County, Iowa, February 7, 1878, and passed away Thursday evening, January 20, 1944. He attained the age of 65 years, 11 months, and 13 days. He had been in poor health for the past four years, being bedfast since the 15th of August.

Mr. Segebart was united in marriage with Myrtle Wilson of Westside at Manilla, Iowa, on October 16, 1900. They lived on a farm for one year south of Westside and then moved north of town where they farmed until 1935, when they moved to town.

Mr. Segebart leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two sons and four daughters: (Lillie) Mrs. James Dixon, Westside; George of Denison; (Lulu) Mrs. Arthur Pahl of Westside; (Alice) Mrs. Lafe Schoenjahn of Carroll; Earl Segebart and (Erma) Mrs. Frenz Lohrmann, both of Westside; also twelve grandchildren and one brother Ernest Segebart of Manilla.
