WILLIAM E. SANDER
William Emil Sander, the son of Emil Sander and his wife Katie nee Moller, was born April 17, 1906, at Manning. He was baptized in infancy and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

On August 8, 1934, he was united in marriage with Willetta Kruse, a union to which four children were born. The family lived in the Manning area until 1952 when they moved to Schleswig. They came to Denison to make their home in 1962. Mr. Sander died suddenly while at work at Midwestern College January 23, 1968. He attained the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Surviving his death are his widow, his mother who now lives in Elk Horn; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Corrine) Jahn of Manning, Mrs. Vertus (Marlys) Groth of Denison; Mrs. Marvin (Judith) Brookbank of Perry; and Mrs. Keith (Susan) Siefken of Omaha, Nebraska; four brothers: Herman of Omaha, Nebraska; Hugo of Arnold's Park, Iowa; Louis of Yreka, California; and Max of Elk Horn, Iowa; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, who passed away in 1955, by one brother and by one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 26 at Huebner's Funeral Home in Denison with interment in the Manning Cemetery.

Rev. Walter Quandt officiated at the service. Mrs. Fred Rabe, organist, accompanied the Lutheran Ladies choir.

Pallbearers were Kim. Brockman, Donald Sander, Jim Sander, Darrell Sander, Donavan Sander and Terry Sander.


William Sander is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
