Memorial services were held in the Arvin Congregational Church in Arvin, California, Saturday, April 9, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. for William Vernon Plummer, 77, who passed away April 5, 1988, in Bakersfield, California.

Mr. Plummer was born December 31, 1910, in Nebraska and had resided in Kern County for 39 years. He was a railroad conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad for 29 years. He loved his family, fishing and Nebraska football.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Ohrt) Plummer of Bakersfield, California, formerly of Manning, Iowa; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Verda Plummer of Arvin, California; grandsons, Chad and Kyle Plummer of Arvin, California, and Garry Rehkopt of San Diego, California; granddaughter, La Donna Rehkopt of San Diego, California; and numerous other relatives.
