After Serious Illness At Le Sueur

William Oppermann, age 65 years, 7 months, and 27 days, passed away Wednesday evening, July 25, 1951, at 11:15 after a serious illness. He was the son of the late Claus and Margaret Oppermann, and was born November 28, 1885, in Crawford County, Iowa. He was received into the Christian fellowship of believers.

He grew to manhood in Iowa, and at the age of 25 years he came with his father to Virgil, South Dakota.
He was united in marriage on September 1, 1915, with Miss Elizabeth Fanger. This union was blessed with three daughters, Verna, Wilma, and Maxine.

They came to Minnesota in 1933, engaged in farming near Belle Plaine until 1943, when they retired and moved to Le Sueur, where he engaged in carpenter work and other useful employment.

Mr. Opperman was a kind and considerate husband, father and grandfather, his main strife in life was to help his family and friends in any way he could. He was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Le Suer.

He underwent a serious operation about a year ago, was seemingly getting along quite well but a few months ago his health again failed and while everything possible was done for his recovery, his earthly life came to a close when he peacefully slept away Wednesday night, July 25th.
