DEATH OF MR. WILLIAM McCORMICK.
Funeral Services Today at 2:00 P. M.
A telegram was received by the I.O.O. F. lodge of this city, on Wednesday, announcing the death of William M. McCormick. Mr. McCormick died in Kansas City at the home of his son, Peter McCormick. The remains are expected to arrive this afternoon at 1:39, and the services will be held at the Presbyterian Church at, two o'clock. The funeral will be under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, and the funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. Z.W. Steele, who is chaplain of that order. C.A. Barnes, of Tabor, arrived in the city yesterday to attend the funeral of Mr. McCormick, who was his father-in-law.
The deceased was one of the first residents of this section, having lived in this neighborhood before Manning sprang into existence. He had been an Odd Fellow for forty years and a member of the Manning society during the past thirteen years. He was eighty-two years of age at the time of his death. He will be laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery by the side of the grave of his wife, who died a number of years ago.

RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT.
WHEREAS: Our worthy brother, William McCormick, has been taken from our midst by the hand of death, and will no more meet with us in our councils, share our joys or participate in our sorrows, or labor with us in the noble work of F.L. and T., therefore be it
Resolved, That, in the death of Brother McCormick, the order has lost a true and faithful member his family, a kind and loving father, and the country, a highly respected citizen.
Resolved, That we, the members of Manning lodge, No. 122, I.O.O.F., tender to his bereaved family, our heartfelt sympathy in their sorrow.
Resolved, That our charter be draped in mourning for thirty days, and that a copy of these resolutions be presented to his family, and that the same be published in the Manning MONITOR and spread upon the records of this lodge.
