William Martin
On Friday last the attention of the township trustees was called to the fact that a man named William Martin was lying in a sad condition in a stable in Manning. He was found to be very low indeed and after considerable search for a place was taken to the house of Mr. Glasson. Here he continued to sink until Sunday at 2 o'clock P.M. when he died. He is said to have been captain in some Iowa Regiment during the war. He died from self-imposed exposure and improper food. His relatives if he had any are not known.
