Wilhelmine Krey Rutz

Mrs. Wilhelmine nee Krey Rutz died at her home 6 miles southwest of Manning Wednesday of last week after a short illness. Pleurisy of the heart was the immediate cause of death. Only 1 minute before she died she said she would get up soon. Mrs. Rutz lived in this country a number of years and was preceded in death by her husband Johann E. Rutz, July 7, 1899. She was a good kind wife and loving mother, was born December 7, 1846 at Bablets Pommern, Germany, and came to America in 1878.
Six children were born. Alvina Kienast of Centerville, South Dakota; Nellie D. Potthast, Augusta Maassen, and Mamie C. Sporven of Manning, Anna and Carl Rutz at home. The funeral occurred Friday, with Rev. Ehlers officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the Lincoln Township Cemetery, Audubon, Iowa.

Death of Mrs. Rutz.
Mrs. Wilhelmina K. Rutz died at her home 6 miles southeast of Manning Wednesday of last week after a short illness. Pleurisy of the heart was the immediate cause of death. Only 15 minutes before she died she said she would get up soon. Mrs. Rutz had lived in this county a number of years and was preceded by her husband several years ago. She was a good kind wife and a loving mother, was born December 7, 1846, at Bablets, Pommern, Germany, came to America 1878. Six children were born: Alvina Kienast of Centerville, SD; Nellie D. Potthast, Augusta Masson and Mamie C. Sporvine of Manning, Anna and Carl Rutz at home. The funeral occurred Friday, Rev. In the obituary of Mrs. Rutz last week the Monitor stated that Rev. Ehlers of Lincoln Center officiated. This was a mistake. Rev.Johann Ansorge of the German Lutheran Church, of Manning, officiated instead.
