Walter L. Ullerich, 72, of Manning, died at Manning General Hospital Sunday morning, February 3, 1974.
Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. The Ohde Funeral Home of Manning is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ullerich was born in Ewoldt Township April 27, 1901, a son of Herman and Nancy (Ketelsen) Ullerich. He attended rural school near his home and Trinity Lutheran School in Lincoln Township, Audubon County.
In 1922, he was married to Helena Dreager and they were the parents of two sons.
Mrs. Ullerich died in 1945 and he moved to Manning in 1950.
In 1961, he was married to Laurena Pruter, who died January15, 1973.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his sons, Gale of Hayward, California, and Wayne of Shenandoah; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; three brothers, Herbert Ullerich, with whom he lived at Manning, Lynn Ullerich of Audubon, and Hugo Ullerich, and a sister, Rose.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death in addition to his wives.
