WALTER C. SCHWIESOW
Walter Charles Schwiesow, 67, Manning, died Saturday afternoon, January 20, 1962, at Manning General Hospital where he had been taken that morning. He had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church here, with Pastore George B. Eschenbacher officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Ohde Funeral Home to the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for viewing.

Mr. Schwiesow was born January 17, 1895, at Manilla, and worked on various farms in that vicinity until his marriage to Lena Vinke at Council Bluffs January 30, 1930. They lived in the Botna and Manning areas after their marriage, and moved into Manning in 1949.

Surviving is his wife, six children: Mrs. Ralph (Bernice) Dunlap, San Jose, California; Earl Schwiesow, Defiance; Louis Schwiesow, Lemon Grove, California; Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Johnson, Coon Rapids; Mrs. LaVern (Colleen) Daeges, Harlan; and Victor Schwiesow, Manning; 20 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Harry Schroeder, Aspinwall.

Mr. Schwiesow was preceded in death by one daughter Fern; one grandson; his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
