VIRGINIA M. WIESE
Mass of the Christian burial for Virginia M. Wiese of Carroll will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll.
Mrs. Wiese, 82, died Tuesday, May 23, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
The Rev. James McCormick will preside at the Mass. Gift bearers will be Jeffrey Wiese, Brian Wiese, Julie Hawkins, Lyndsay Sayre, Ashley Tegels, Austin Tegels, Chelsea Tegels, and Tristan Tegels.
Casket bearers will be Glen Winker, Melvin Nieland, Norman Nellesen, George Brincks, Dick Henrich, and Tony Muhlbauer.
St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary will have an honor guard.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery at Arcadia.
Visitation starts at 3:30 p.m., a rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. and a vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday at the church.

A daughter of Otto and Alma (Hansen) Greteman, she was born January 13, 1924, at Arcadia and was educated at Manning High School and graduated in 1941.

She and Forrest W. Wiese were married May 15, 1945, with the Rev. Arthur Poeckes officiating.

Mrs. Wiese worked at B&H Super Value for many years and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, RSVP, Gold Star Mothers and Ehlers-Gerken American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 694 of Arcadia and was a volunteer at the Carroll County Historical Museum.

Survivors include two sons: Lon Wiese and wife Barbara of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, and Lynn Wiese and wife Carol of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Shelley Tegels, and her husband, Jerry, of Ankeny; eight grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Frank Testroet, of Carroll.

Mrs. Wiese was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest, in 1997; two sons: Terry and Brent Wiese; and two sisters: Dorothy Testroet and Marian Stoffers.
